Glowscore ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by W Labs LLC, a limited liability company organized in the State of Wisconsin, United States. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By installing, accessing, or using the Glowscore mobile application or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to the practices described here.

1. SCOPE & ELIGIBILITY

This policy applies to information collected through the Glowscore mobile app and the website at scanglowscore.com. The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older. Users under the age of majority in their jurisdiction should review this policy with a parent or legal guardian.

Premium subscriptions are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not see or store your payment card details. The app stores only a subscription-status indicator returned by the platform store so the app knows whether to unlock Premium features.

We do not use your information to train third-party advertising models, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (see Section 9).

4. CAMERA, SENSORS, AND ON-DEVICE PROCESSING

Glowscore requests camera access for the sole purpose of detecting barcodes. Camera frames are processed on your device to extract the barcode digits; the resulting barcode string is the only data transmitted to our analysis service. We do not record video, take photos, or upload camera frames. You can revoke camera access at any time in your device's system settings.

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration, including encryption in transit (TLS), least-privilege access, and isolation of production systems. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. HEALTH DATA & SENSITIVE CATEGORIES

Glowscore is a cosmetic and informational product. We do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. The Service is not a HIPAA-covered service, and we do not collect protected health information ("PHI") as defined by HIPAA. Scores are algorithmic estimates derived from public food data, not personal medical assessments.

We deliberately do not request, infer, or store sensitive personal categories such as race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, precise location, or health/medical history. If you voluntarily include such information in a support email or report, we will use it only to respond and delete it on the schedule above.

9. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA:

The categories of personal information we have collected in the past 12 months are: identifiers (IP address), internet/network activity (request logs), and commercial information (subscription status). The business or commercial purposes are described in Section 3. We have not sold or shared personal information in the past 12 months. To exercise these rights, email privacy@scanglowscore.com. We will verify your request by reviewing details you provide and may request additional information to confirm your identity.

10. EEA, UK & SWISS RESIDENTS (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights with respect to personal data we control: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing based on legitimate interests. You also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

11. CHILDREN

Glowscore is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact privacy@scanglowscore.com.

12. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

We operate in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.

13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective" and "Last updated" dates at the top of this page, and where required by law, we will provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
